Two sites i work at operate NEC IPK telephone systems. We need to know if there is a way to pull caller ID logs off the system. The ringing telephone displays on caller ID while ringing and when the telephone is taken off hook by the receptionist we lose said info. Incidents have happened in the past that at a later time we would like to go back and pull the logs but we were never informed as to how. There must be a way of doing this short of placing in a wiring closet a 20 memory caller ID box for each of the 10 incomming lines. I have set this up in the past on a CICS (nortel) without a hitch but NEC is quite foreign to me. Thank You for any help

Additional NEC hardware is required.
MIF-M card KMM chip
I believe older software versions limited the logs to 10 numbers per station, or was it on the Elite? You should be able to get 50 number call log per station on the IPK I with the above listed hardware.

so you are telling me while it will display the numbers as they come it to even record lets say the 10 last calls additional hardware is needed?

How far back in the log do you want to go?
Call accounting might be a solution
