Hey there,
I have a customer who does a lot of conference calls. They have a PRI and about 40 phones. They conference using two different methods, the first way is standard,call first party, hit conf., call 2nd party ,hit conference than begin. The other way is by using shared cap keys. Example- Boss and assistant have the same cap keys, so when a call comes in, assistant answers, alerts boss, boss hits same cap button on his phone and their conferenced. After a while (let's say 3-4 weeks) anyone in the office try's to conference using either method get's a busy signal and it say's busy on the display.The only way to fix the problem is to reset the switch. I'm thinking the 64 conf. circuits are getting locked up one by one and not releasing therefore causing the problem. The trunks do not get locked up in the process which is good. Any help on this would be much appreciated.

What version software is the switch running??
I had a look at several hundred V1100 > 1600 bug reports and it was not in there. Your theory that the Conf circuits are not releasing sounds reasonable..
If no one else has come across this problem on the current software you could set MB90.09 to reboot the system every week and report this to NECUS as a possible fault. If you are running an early version of software I suggest you upgrade and see if that fixes it..

I was at 1.60 but my channel dealer support suggested I upgrade to 1.61 to be at the latest. They also never heard of this problem, so I did the upgrade the other day and now it's a wait and see situation.
