HELP - Can anyone assist in the implementation of caller id on the nec ips 2000? Have tried following the manual to no avail. System will not take certain commands (clearing memory, for example).
Also, there is a "ring group" programmed in the system and I need to make it ring on each members phone and also add members. Cannot find the program through CAT to do this.
Please assist if possible. Many thanks.

Which commands have you already set on the system 5005? 1212? 1213? and what have you put in each command?
As for ring group, there is no such thing. What are you seeking to achieve and how have you tried so far?

Ring groups are created by using virtuals.

Thanks for the responses - the caller id is for POTS lines. I have performed the following commands:cm35 cm10 cm14 cm04 cm09 cm05 cm06 cm08 cmAA, etc. I get the burst after the first ring on the butset but no change to the NEC display. I am missing something really big but going through the manual is not helping.
As for the ring groups - there is a virtual 197 programmed in the system. I created a Mode A for a 3rd ring mode and found 197 rang the phones where they wanted this Mode A to ring. Turns out they want to add more people to it and on some phones it doesn't ring.
Any ideas.

You need a 4RST card for POTS caller ID. I'm assuming you have one.
