Greetings!

We have an IPK married with a standard VMP mail card. Everything worked fine but after seeing the GUI on the IPK 2 and Elitemail LX I felt compelled to get my hands on this! The problem we are currently experiencing is we cannot communicate with the Elitemail LX via DTMF. We have no problem programming either IPK 2 or LX via the web interface and after reading the forums I did check class-of-service (DTMF on intercom) but I still cannot 'talk' to the LX.

Another odd problem is a strange static or hiss that sometimes is heard when one answers a second call if a first call is on hold. It doesn't happen often but it only began occurring once we upgraded to the IPK 2.

Slot 1 - COIB(8)
Slot 2 - COIB(8)
Slot 3 - ESIB(8)
Slot 4 - ESIB(8)
Slot 5 - ESIB(8)
Slot 6 - SLI(4)
Slot 7 - empty
Slot 8 - VMP with Elitemail LX

Make sure in prog 15-03 the voicemail ports are set to 'DP' and 'special'.

This will get your DTMF to pass through.

As far as your second problem, sometimes a COIB card will allow you to hear the caller ID packet that is sent. You get a odd noise as you answer the call but then the call connects and the audio is normal.

That may be the issue you are experiencing.

Congrats on upgrading, I wish more of my customers would.
