I've had pretty good luck with the Targus port replicators in both USB speeds. They have worked well with any system I've programmed.

We just found a better USB > serial adaptor, one that works with all our NEC stuff. This one even works with the old 2400 systems something which none of the others would.. https://tinyurl.com/2zv4fm Aten UC-232A
