I know the G stands for Government. But is there a huge diffrence in the programming of these phones?
I was talking to one of my vendors who is very shady and I try not to do business with. But he was telling me that they were completly diffrent when I have both phones in front of me and they look exactly the same.
But then again he knows I dont have alot of the G model phones and tried selling them for an extra $40 a piece.

I never heard of a g phone from nec. And if there is there would not be a big difference and they would be programmed the same. Someone correct me if I am wrong please because it would be something nice to learn.

I never realized the G either. But I check my stock and there are a couple with the G in the last part of the part number. They look exactly the same. With of the over 40 combined years of dealing with this stuff my manager was the only person to run into somebody asking for a DTP-16-1G once but a regualr one worked fine.

The latters represent a board design that changing from time to time. Sometimes even a different components that replaced the old one will change a letter at the end. G has nothing to do with Government to the best of my knowlage. Functionality is the same.

I understand it as phones that end in G, stands for Government and means the phone was put together in the USA and can be used to bid on Government bids.
It's function and programming are the same.

bbox is correct the G means the where assembled in the USA for government or other contracts that require products made in the USA and there is no other difference. I just did a 2000 with 200 phones that where G and there was NO difference at all.
