I am working on a Topaz where the door-station rings on most phones and a dedicated analogue port with an answer machine connected to give delivery instructions if the call is not picked up manualy.

I have just installed a voicemail unit and would like the voicemail to replace the old answering machine but the door-phone won’t get picked up by the voicemail. If I call the analogue port directly then it picks up without problems and indicates on a key programmed onto the reception MLT. 32-01-03 indicates I can cause the door-phone to forward to an "external" number but if the destination is the analogue port the forward won’t work even if the speed dial component works correctly and can be used to call the port.

If anyone can suggest anything I have missed that would be much appreciated.

Why not just put a normal phone out there and lock it down to internal only . If your customer wants to have a "Door Phone" you can always use a dallas delta www.dallasdelta.com they have some really good "Door Phones" that are a standard analogue ccts that you can plug into any Topaz ext but have a single push button ( you have to program what extension it rings ). I have used the more advanced version in apartment blocks where you can actually enter room numbers etc... very good product

Have you tried entering the voice mail pilot number in program 32-02?
