Jordan,
What do you mean about breaking time server synchronization?
Can you be more specific?

Firstly, please note my choice of words (looks like).
This is the error I get: When I turn it on in programming and click the Sync to time server button, I get the failure message. This is consistent in all 3 systems I have installed this update on I get the error message that it cannot sync. Previous versions work fine...

What version of software were you running before the upgrade? What version of SysAdmin are you running?

I might as well add my kudow too. Had a problem with call waiting caller id in that it put out audible dtmf tones with the call waiting caller id enabled. Apparently I was the only vendor that was experiencing this problem. NEC saw my post and responded immediately. They came up with a software solution that worked. I Love NEC!

What version of software were you running before the upgrade? What version of SysAdmin are you running? #1 2.18 #2 2.21 I spoke to Dave Williams (called tech support on another matter and asked about it while I was on the phone). From what Dave said, it seems that the systems may still be syncing, just not at the time I push the sync to time server button in the administrator. Will test over the weekend. UPDATE: On a whim, instead of entering the URL (time-a.nist.gov) I entered the IP address in the field (google the name time-a.nist.gov and you'll get it). The sync worked that time..

Are you using DHCP to get the system's IP address, gateway and DNS server's (program 1103)?
If not, you should double check the IP address that you entered for DNS in program 1104.
It sounds as if the system cannot resolve time-a.nist.gov

I have had to contact Dave Williams a few times. Each and everytime he has been great to work with. He, and the engineers at NEC, have come up with some creative solutions and have helped me nail down some vexing isssues.
The kudos are well deserved.

I would recommend that you double check with the IT guy who gave you the DNS.
If there is a PC on the same LAN as the DSX, you could open a command window and type "ipconfig /all" then check what the PC has for the DNS address.
