I am working on setting up a Elite 192 with voicemail. A quick question to start, my intent is to have a 2 CO, 11 extension system shared. There is no specific user tied to an extension except for one, 104. I would like CO1 to ring on all of the extensions and not go to voicemail. I want CO2 to ring on extension 104 only and go to voicemail. I am assuming that this is possible? Would it be possible to check voicemail for box 104 from any extension? This is just a start, once I find out that this is possible you know I am going to ask how next, lol. I have all the hardware and software to work with the system from a PC.

Yes to all your questions. You have the software, hardware and now to complete the set you need to get the manuals.

easily done.

You'll just need to DIT trunk 2 to ext 104 in program 3-42.

Great. I do have the manuals as well and have started to read through them. I just recieved the MIFM card and installed it today. I am trying to connect with a null modem cable but keep receiving an error that the data set ready is off. Do I need to do anything from a station to tell the system the card is there or is it plug and play? Is the null modem the correct cable?

You'll want to install the MIFM card in the ISA slot of the cabinet (next to the CPU).

Program slot 0A as MIFM in program 7-1

Program CLASS as 01 in program 7-3

Assign baud rate as 38400 in program 1-8-35

connect null modem cable from your laptop com port to serial port 1 on the side of the KSU.

Check settings in SAT under 'communications' tab.

Make sure SAT is set at the correct baud rate and for the correct com port on your laptop.

Hmmm, did all of that just now. The only value I had to change was the Class. Still no go... I have been able to connect to the VMS card so I know the PC com port is good. Is it a null cable that I need or a straight through cable? The one I am using is a null cable.
