I have an SV8100 with software version 1.02, it will be installed with DHCP enabled on it. THe problem is the inDHCP appears to be pretty flaky, by that I mean I can assign about a dozen or so phones and then after about half an hour or so it doesn't see the DHCP. We have changed the lease time to 14 days as well. The phones that assign OK if they are unplugged and plugged back in do not come up as well.
We have rebooted the system and then it will continue to work again for the same period. It appears the SV8100 is handing out duplicate IP addresses and not keeping them in the DHCP table. Any ideas?

Hi Glaz,
Hmm. I've just sent a report to NECA about the same problem using software 1.00 and 1.02. It just seems to fall asleeep and only a reboot solves the problem. A site tech reported the problem to me and I have reproduced it here in my lab..
I'll let you know what I hear back. Maybe tyou should send a ticket thru as well..

Funnily enough I got a response from NEC Engineering this morning recommending a software upgrade to version 1.10

There are at least four different ones. Japan, Europe, US and AU.. Each has there own variant and no doubt problems..

I loaded 1.10 in yesterday during class training. The DHCP is still the same and still falls asleep with in 30 minutes. They have fixed the problem that you can't turn off the system when DHCP addresses are being served..

Hi All, Does anyone know if this is resolved? I am installing 100+ IP phone 8100 in a couple weeks and it sounds like this could cause some head aches..
