I dont work on NEC's very often.
I have a IPK system with a MIFM U20 installed in slot S1, with a MOD-u10 for dialup modem connection.
i have an extension number asigned and all the slot,baud speed, password,sitename, programming is done to allow this modem to work.
Direct connection works great.
but, when i trf a call to it, it just hangs up on me, reset the card.
IPK software is old = R2.02
is that IPK software to old for the MIFM-U20 card
should i have the MIFM-U10

Is Memory Block 7-3 is Assigned for "LCR" even though you are not using.

No it is not
so I have to have 7-3-1 programmed as card 1 for it to work
I will give it a try

Set MB 7.3.02 SMDR on , That in my experience seems to make it work.. Also pull out the card and unplug the battery if it's plugged in. This will clear out any gunk in the MIFM memory..

Be sure the correct modem card is used. If you have the older one for a U-10 board, it will not work properly, or even answer most times. The correct one for the U-20 board doesn't have as many pins on it. The older one has 2 full rows of pins except for the one "blank" pin in position 3.

It worked
I just asigned Card 1 to LCR
I also tried card 1 to SMDR
both worked
