Can anyone help me locate where to buy a cpu battery for a Electra Pro system. It is soldered on the board.

I do not work on NEC a lot so my suppliers are limited.

Thanks
Roger

Any company that buys and re-sells refurbish phone systems usually will sell you the battery or tell you what company to call to purchase one.

I find replacement batteries locally at any good battery store. You want to get a 3.6v 60mAh nic-cad battery with "legs". Be absolutely sure it is ni-cad and rechargeable.

Be especially cautious when soldering onto the CPU... ensuring the + and - are facing correctly. And what ever you do .... DO NOT DRIP SOLDER DROPPINGS onto the CPU. That is very, very bad for the CPU. I learned this the hard way.

I soldered one once.....while it was live and running so I didnt loose programming.
Not recommended but I used to always have issues with the old SAT verisons for Electra's so was not able to always do a backup before powering down.

Remember that unless you solder it on with the system up and running you are going to lose all your programming.
