Actually what is the "type" of PRI being used. I just had a PRI delivered by SIP and the Adtran would stick a very long delay into it. It was bad with 11 digit dialing and really bad (7-8 seconds) with 7 digit dialing. When there was 7 digits the phone sytem would wait 3 seconds for additional digits. Then the Adtran would wait 5 seconds before sending call. When user dialed 11 digits - phone system would send out immediately and there was still a 5 second delay before call was sent out. Couple that with calling a cell phone that has to be "found" there was sometimes a 12 second delay between last digit dialed and first ringback. This was on an Aspire and I don't know much about the IPK but the mechanics are fairly close.

the pri is from megapath and they put in an adtran. they also said they timed from when i hit the last digit on the phone and said they did not see it for 4 seconds. also they (megapath) had to change it from 23 trunks to 16 due to a quality issue when using compresion (overseas calls were horrible) they are blameing the nec phone system for not handeling the compression. and yes some of the calls take up to 10 seconds to hear ring back.

Did you chage your programming to reflect the new fraction of the PRI?

If the ARS is set up correctly with memory block 1-14-07 set for max digits, it should go right out. As for the "compression" issue Megapath referred to, that is a load of crap. Verify your ARS & then get them out there with a T-1 test set.

I just researched this a little deeper. That CPU needs to be at version 9500 to get memory block 1-14-07.

so with ver. 4.5 the customer has to suffer? unless he would like to pay for an upgrade besides the money he spent on the prt card.
