Had a customer ask me the other day if we could help them with an intercom for an attendant at a landfill. The window the attendant uses faces the north, so in the winter they don't want to open the window to talk to customers. Something like the bank uses at the drive-thru. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

i'm going to present this as an option Skip. Without asking; I'm thinking that they would prefer something the attendant could control; i.e..talk /listen from inside the booth.

They can either answer when it rings or call out to it to establish the voice path as I recall it's simply a matter of going off hook inside so when the attendant see someone come to window he just goes off hook to talk/listen

All good ideas but I'm thinking the application needs to be a little more bullet proof! Use a Viking K-1500-6A - DLE-200B - any 2500 set!

Wouldn't any self power outdoor talk back speaker work with a 2500 set? All hands free for the customer.

Hey Gents; I'm still working on this deal. If for example I hooked up a Viking W-3000 outside to a 2500 set inside; going off-hook would initiate the communication? I have a DLE-200b on the shelf collecting dust.

Go to McDonalds and ask the manager to let you see the mike/spkr set up they use for the drive-in window. Get the maker's name and model number.

An Aiphone MP-S or the Marsh Alpha drive thru would both work well.
