With the help of a tech that phoned me I was able to set up an existing IPK system that my wifes biz inherited. I have not been able to get a hold of that same tech to make a couple of small changes.
We set it up so that when the main phone is picked up it goes to an outside line. That is good, but currently picks up the 2ndary line. The primary line is preferred as that's the line that Vzn has unltd LD on. So I'd like to change that first line pick up to the primary line.
I added a consumer cordless to the 4 port analog card. It rings on the 4th ring and picks up the 2nd line also as it's 1st choice.
I'd like it to ring on the 1st and pick up the primary for outgoing.
I haven't been able to transfer calls to it. It's punched into position 2 (which is linked to port 1 on the analog card) and showed up as ext 102 when we interrogated it.
I'd like to fix that.
I added a consumer Answer Machine at the demarc of the primary line. For some reason, that doesn't pick up until the 8th ring, even tough it's set for 4. I can't imagine how there is interaction between it (on the demarc) and the IPK, but ....
I have the programming manual, but I'm not clear on what terms are used to fix the problem.
Any help would be appreciated.
