Does any one have this problem with the new UM8000 voice mail. Version 11.1.1.28.
-When someone calls in from an outside phone line (POT Lines), gets the auto attendant and transfers themselves to an extension #. When the mail box answers you get the greeting then it hangs up on you. I can not figure out why. This doesn't happen all the time. Very sporadic.
-Another sporadic one, some one calls in form an outside phone line (POT Lines), gets the auto attendant, dials an extension # and comes up "sorry I can not understand your selection" or something like that, even though you have dialed the correct extension number. Every time I try I can get it to go through fine.
-I am about to pull my hair out.

I would contact NTAC on your 1st problem, sounds like some kind of timer setting on silence before record.

2n issue, have you asked if the person is calling in on cell or land line?

Whats your revision on the switch?
Get a newer patch from ntac I had this same issue on one switch, it would do the same exact issues and also during the Tuturial it would not recognize the DTMF tones all the time IE: during setting your new security code.
I have to ask though how are ports setup in
15-03-02 Most likely patch for the voiceMail Maybe like dans said check your padding levels in 81-xx
