The cordless handset for the DTP-16HC suddenly stopped connecting to the base. I pick up handset and after about 3 seconds I get beep-beep-beep. it doesn't connect to base. Battery is fine, holds charge for days. Ever have this happen before?
I am suspecting it lost it's association or registration to the base. I looked on NEC's website and didn't find a manual or user guide for it. If someone has the user guide please e-mail me.

I am not aware of any procedure to re-register the DTP-16-HC. I would suspect you have a bad phone. I don't think those are avalable from NEC anymore, either.

Did you try plugging in a digital set at the location of the base unit?

Yeah, another phone works in it's place. In fact the DTP-HC works on speakerphone, just the handset won't talk to the base. It just beeps like it out of range.
