I got a bit of a head-scrachter for ya!

We just replaced a cisco call "mangler" with a SV8100 with all ITL-12De sets.

Now, none of the existing Plantronics headsets work. They are of various models, btw!

NTAC does'tn have a clue...

We got audio out of the headset port on the phones...

Thought's, anyone?

Any examples of which model plantronics?

May just be incompatible model number?

Just a guess.

I was told by NTAC that just about any Headset should work with the SV8100 as Long as There is a Handset Lifter on It. But I'm sure that isn't always the Case.

Plantronics lists several models of headsets specifically for the cisco phones. That might lead me to suspect that they differ in some way and may not be compatible with all phone sets.

To complete my previous post, I would contact Plantronics and inquire about compatibility.

Down in my part of the world any Plantronics headset with a quick disconnect unit can have a QD Headset cord Plantronics part # 26585-01. This will plug into the fone base and bypass the ampbox. However we have also found some headsets with straight to RJ plugs that have to have wiring changes done to them to get them to work..

Hope this helps just a little

I am not trying to disparage you but I am going to go step by step on things you should have connected. Is the phone receiver cord plugged in to the headset control unit? Is it plugged into the right port on the control unit? Now is the control unit plugged into the handset jack on the phone? That should do it, again I am not trying to insult your intelligence or expertise but sometimes a step by step can give you the "Oh Damn" moment you were looking for.
