Hey Guys, I have an issue. I don't know what I'm doing.

One of our departments have moved to a different building. I thought it would be an easy move. I recorded where all the lines went to on the block and moved everything and hooked it up just like I found it. The phones work, no problem. I just cannot make a call out or in. The old line buttons just beep at me and do not light up.
I have looked at the cards and in
S1 I have a ESIB8
S2 SLI4
S3 COI8
So I believe the first 8 pairs are digital stations
9-12 is analog stations
13-20 is CO lines

I have the phones hooked up to the first four pairs
CO lines are hooked up to 17 18 19 20, just like they were before the move. I have also tried them on 13 and 14 with no luck.
I have just gotten used to Norstar equipment and this NEC box is completely different. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You still have to count The unused 4 port from S2 so it would be 9-16 = S2 You Co's Should start on 17. When you powered down the System, Did you have to reset the Time?

Thanks for the responses guys.

The ampehnol cables from the NEC go into a 110 block so I don't know a good way to test directly on there, but the 66 block before the 110 has good dial tone.

That would explain why they had them punched down starting on 17 to start with then. So are you saying that each slot takes up 8 ports? Then 13-16 are just empty blanks?

I did not reset the time. But I think it was fast 30 minutes, about the time it was down for. I was worried it lost it's programming, but some buttons still work like they should like intercom speed dials. I also read it should keep programming for 21 days without power.

Yes you are correct. Even though you are using a 4port card, the slot still takes up 8 ports on the amp cable. So you just skip the other 4 pair to get to your next card. In your case 13-16 are just skipped.

Don't know if you figured it out yet but did the CO card become unplugged during moving?

Press {Program} and the line key , does it show CO 1 in the display?

Thank You everyone for your help.

I reseated the CO card with the power on and I think this helped. After that the lines would appear. They were also not programmed as I had expected or was used to. They were in a CAP? Which pools the lines together so that one button answers or uses a pool of lines when you call in or out. So instead of having one button for each individual line like I thought, none of them would work when I punched one line down. I had to have both lines punched down on the right pairs, because when you dial out the line pool automatically uses the second line.

Probably didn't explain that the best, but I tried (I hate when people don't say what fixed it.)

Many thanks to BTech who walked me through troubleshooting the problem. Without his knowledge I was lost. I highly recommend him if anyone needs help on their NEC. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He answered all my questions and was very patient.
THANK YOU!!
