Does anyone know what other phone systems can use NEC DTH terminals?

Do these use some kind of "standard" interface, and is there any way to directly connect them to a system running Asterisk?

We need to move to a system that supports remote SIP users, and it seems wasteful to replace 20 perfectly good DTH 16 button phones at $250 a whack.

Thanks in advance!

NEC phone's work with NEC Equipment, same with just about any other "Telephone Systems" Unless They are Single Line Phone's, Mixing and Matching will Not work With Digital Phone's.

conxtel: thanks for the list. The NEC Direct rep is putting a proposal together for the SV8100; will have to see how that prices out vs a new native SIP system.

Rickman: Thanks - as I expected; I guess it being an open standard was too much to hope for.

Another quick question - what is the SV8100's configuration software like? Is it as arcane as IPK SAT?

The Software is Easy to work with if You Know NEC System's. It Could be a Simple Install or a Complicated one, Just Depend's on what the Customer Want's and Expects from his System.

I never did like the SAT interface...too "clunky" for my taste. The SV8000 series has a really nice web based GUI.
