Men.....I inherited an Aspire S system. I did the move on the system in Jan. The original installer does not respond to calls. The client asked me to install 4 new exts. I installed an ESIU 8 expansion card. When I plug in new phones,
I get a port number, time and date, and a row of ??????. I have checked out programs 10-03-01 and 02.
For slot 5, it seems that the settings are correct and the CPU is "seeing" the expansion card, but I cannot get the new extensions to respond past showing the port number, date/time,
???? and soft key data. I have a feeling it has to do with logical port numbering, but clearly I'm missing something. I'm very familiar with DS and DSX, but I'm not getting something here.
Thanks for your help.
P.S. I'm using a keyset for programming.

How many stations are you trying to take this cabinet to? The maximum configuration is 8 lines, 24 digital stations. You can install 2 8-port digital station cards max!

P.S.
The system was originally set up for 8 extensions.
I added 1- 8 port ESIU. The 4 extensions I added
show port numbers 11, 12,13 and 14. The displays sshow a row of ?????? where the ext. nomber should be. Date, time, and soft key info is present. No dial tone, no line key response.
