Hey there,
I have a customer with a IPK 1 with an 8 port Linux vmp-x v-mail. I installed it 3 months ago and it's been working great until today. The time would always be off and I would have to connect with Putty software and set it manually, so today I set the timeconfig and clocktune and had their I.T. guy allow the port for ntp. After that i tried to reboot, but the v-mail was giving me an error saying there is a problem with the hardware drivers. I brought the card back to my office and moved the flash card to a new board, same problem. I'm able to connect to the maintenance thru Putty, so I did a backup. Anyone got an idea what could be wrong?

Sounds like a corrupt database. If you can connect to maintenance, default the system and upload the backup. That should fix it.

I'll give that a shot tomorrow. Unfortunately my backup is after the problem started, so it may also be corrupted. Crossing my fingers..

Oh yes it may be. Let us know how it goes. Try running the default database and see if it boots. If it does than you know something that you changed at the most recent service, is causing the problem.

Turned out to be the smart card went bad. Luckily the backup I had loaded into a new card. Took me a few times to get the proper database to load, the file was too big, so i eliminated the prompts from the transfer and that seem to do the trick. The voicemail works now except my recording hours are at 6hrs and I'm pretty sure it should have way more than that. AS long as it keeps working I think it should be fine. Thanks
