To start things off I am an avaya man no very very little about nec. But I have a customer that has a nec electra elite ipk system and one phone has a message light on and when I press the message button it goes to the A.A Can anyone help please

Does the Display say that there is a Msg? or just the Light is Flashing? Do you have a DSS at the front Desk?

There is no display on this phone but at the front desk there is a phone with a display at ext 100

Move the Display phone to that Location (Temp) to see if the display shows a Msg from the VM.

yes it say vm in the display but still when I press the message button or call 300 it gives me the AA from that ext. if I go to another phone it asks for pass code

not when i press it from the ext with the problem it plays the AA

If Your getting AA Msg. from the Ext with the Problem, then that Ext. has no Voice Mail Box assigned to it. Make a Voice Mail Box for it, Set it up(Greeting and Such) Then Leave a Msg. on that Phone,Retreave Msg. Delete the New Msg. it should Clear. That phone Had a box at one time with a Msg. on it, and someone deleted the box.
