Does anyone have any information on using the voip capability of the Aspire S. Specifically I am wondering what the least expensive VPN routers with QoS anyone used successfully on an install. I am adding only one phone to the aspire system at a remote location on the property, so I am trying to keep the price down since there is only one phone involved. I tested the setup with a couple of Netgear VPN routers I had, and it worked fine. However the routers have no QoS, so I am assuming I didn't see any effects from that, only because the PC's on the network weren't doing any network traffic at the time.

We have successfully run a single VoIP extension through a VPN with no Qos on Aspire S. I suppose it depends on how much other traffic you have at the remote site.
Ours was three networked PCs, and one VoIp phone. Absolutely no problems. We used Linksys routers - nothing fancy.
