I have been through my programming on the sv8100 and the Inmail with NTAC several times, cannot get this to work.
I have licences, 3.0 software and ME50 installed.
Customer is about to pull the switch because of the failure of this feature. Trying to get NEC to provide upgrade to UM8000 because of failure, not sure how that's going to go.... ???

Paul, thanks for the info.
I have been working directly with an Active Voice engineer and we have pulled CPU traces and are trying a few new things.
Something I noticed was absent from your program sheet you sent me was DNS server entry in 90-11-11.
My customer, who can view the sent info from the 8100 also thinks there is an issue with the code for the email format and header etc...
Thanks again, will update when we get it figured.

I think that 90.11.11 only effects outbound alarm emails but will do a test here..

Hi Chuck,
Did some more testing. MB 90.11.11 has no effect on SMTP from Inmail. I made a new dump and both internal and external delivery were OK with the settings I sent to you...
I did find that by if I put my local company mailserver address in 90.11.06 I was only able to send alarms internally but if I put in the ISP SMTP info in there I could send internally (via ISP) and externally. AS there was no login validation info in 90.11 the corp mailer server would not relay to outside..

I finally got this resolved, with some help from Active Voice. After running the CPU logs we found that the mail server was unable to resolve the DNS in 90-11 and therefore didn't even attempt to deliver the mail. Made some adjustments to 47-18-02 put the public IP of the mail server instead of the internal address and turned off 47-18- 04/05/06/07 and put in a sent from address in 47-18-08/09 now working like a champ!! I just got this resolved a few weeks ago also. seems there are 2 guys in ActiveVoice assigned this product. They went round and round with it, finally forced them to get a guy from the Nitsuko side in New Jersey on it. No ME50. But it does pick up the DNS in 90-11. after that its been flawless

Yes Active Voice is supporting the Inmail product in the SV8100, not sure about IPKII inmail, but they're basically the same so I don't see why not. Spoke with a tech named Alex, really sharp and knew the 8100 as well. D
