One of our other offices with an Aspire S has reported that when putting an incoming call on hold to answer another call, to simply put the second call on hold to go back to the first, that when returning to the second call the second caller said that she was talking to call one. Like they were conferenced but had only been put on hold. Anyone ever heard of anything like this or "close" to this occurence?

Thanks

The Hold button doubles as a transfer button so when you press it you start a transfer. The way to do what you want is to put the first call on hold and then depress the switch hook and then answer the second call. The easiest way it to program Auto Hold so then all you do is press the button for the second call and the first is put on hold automatically.

Thanks for the info DN27. So what would I have to program to "prevent" pressing hold from starting a transfer when they go to pick up line two, so they wouldn't have to depress the switch hook and would be able to just punch hold and then the ringing line button to put line one on hold and pick up line two? ( matter of what they are used to)

You probably also have Automatic On Hook Transfer also turned on. This comes turned on from factory. Why? I have no idea. In 20-11-11 turn this item off for your used classes of service. I had this same issue years ago.
