I have a DSX160 that has a DID ringing in to a Ring Group that rings at ext 300. after 6 rings it goes to a routing mailbox that tells them to hold and the dial action table times out to 300.
I dont get caller ID on the first ring in, but it populates when it transfers back to ext 300.
will the dsx show caller id if not ringing directly into an extension? any ideas on a work around?

Is station 300 assigned to a ring group in 2113-04 or does it have a call-coverage key for the ring group?
I don't think CID shows when the ringing appears via the assigned key, but will appear if the station is assigned to a ring group.

i found it. 300 was assigned as an operator and operators cant be members of a ring group.
she originally had a call coverage key.
I had to delete her as an operator so that it would ring as a member of the ring group. now caller id populates and everything works as it should
