i have a customer with a nec elite. im not real familiar with this system. i know everytime the system looses power i have to go out to reprogram it! here is my question. i dont know which system it is. the ksu cover is gone but it says its is model p64-u10 psu. i am guessing that is for the power supply but does it give an indication which ksu it is. also there are six card slots. thanks dave

It is an Elite 48.
Make sure the battery on the bottom left corner is still plugged in. If it is, the battery can actually be replaced. Get the specs off it and local electronics shops should be able to get a comparible replacement.

Conxtel is correct, the blue/green barrel shaped battery is dead. replace it and you won't have to re-program any more.
