On the DSX, "Whisper Page" is called "Voice Over". Here is a link to the description in the DSX manual:

Thanks for the link, it still does not answer my question though, maybe my question was not clear.

The deal here is the customer wants to know if when a whisper page is intiated does the persons voice that is doing the whisper page take over the reciever or will you still here the caller talking as well as the person that initiated the whisper page?

The customer does not want the whisper page to block out the caller, ideally he wants to hear both of them at the same time.

Thanks

The term whisper page is not used on the DSX product. It is used on the NEC Elite and IPK systems and not used when the IPK II came out.

If I remember right Whisper page is when the user while on a call could enter a feature code and page someone without the person on the far end hearing the page.

Dans,
You are correct DSX calls it "Voice Over", basicly the same as "whisper page", no?

Still wondering if it cuts the person off on the phone when the voice ovr is initiated. Customer does not want to miss what is being said by the caller while in the voice over stage.

thanks

As far as The Elite and IPK the Answer is No, the Customer is Not Cut off. The best test is to program the Feature and Test it. Should take a Whole 5 Min.

The caller will not hear page and the person on the phone will hear the page and his caller.Installed this for a customer 2 years ago works very well.

If you say you don't know you will get more respect.
