Just curious as to what type of vehicles you all are using for your techs.
My company has 2 Astro Vans and I am currently using my personal truck and it is getting rather annoying having to unload it on friday nights.
I am just looking for some suggestions to see if the vans are the best set up or possibly a small pick up with a bed cover is better. Let me know what yall think.

Currently we are using Ford Ranger trucks with a bed topper. However, when we purchase a new vehicle it will not be a truck or van, but rather a small car or box car (like a Kia Soul, etc.). With the changing equipment sizes since the ascendancy of VoIP systems we have found that it is not generally necessary to have more than one truck to carry a lot of equipment in and those smaller cars have much better mileage and generally are more comfortable to drive (though that is really personal preference).

Do a search for "company vehicles". I know this topic was covered pretty throughly and might be what you are looking for to help you out. I thought it was in Phone Booth section.

We recently traded in one of our Astro's to a new Chevy HHR Panel van. The tech that drives it, loves it. And I like the fact it gets on average about 30MPG.

mdaniel- In the HHR have you put a shelving unit in it? I looked at those but could not find a shelving unit for it that would fit.

I recently got a Ford Transit Connect. So far I like it. It is a new and distinctive looking vehicle so it gets lots of attention. There's a picture of it on my web site. www.tedwoods.com
