I'm helping a customer change their Elite IPK I from 10 x CO lines to a PRI card.

CPU card is CPUI(200)-U10, and we added the clock card for timing.

AP slot has MIFM U2.

PRI card is PRT(1)-U20, in Slot 1.

Voicemail is VMPX U40

We have SAT version 4.7. It connects, but when we start the download it gives a 7-01 error. I have read elsewhere that this refers to mismatched config/hardware?

When I manually create a config in SAT, I see the cards for COIB8 and ESIB8, but not the newer PRT, MITM, or VMPX. So it seems like my SAT is too old for the cards that are in the system?

What to do? Does somebody have a newer SAT that they can share? Or do I need PC Pro?

Thanks hugely.

I would forget about the SAT for now & just program the PRI through a programming phone. The setup of the PRI is easy peasy. 4.7 is the last version to come out. I also have trouble connecting to certain systems sometimes. But it is usually my com port causing the issue. Are you using a USB to serial adapter?

Agree with Dr.PBX.

Just use programs 1-13-xx, 3-14, 3-91, 3-03, 3-04, and 1-1-20 through 1-1-22.

That's it.

As far as SAT goes, I would check prog 1-8-35 and set your baud rate to 9600. It comes default at 38400, which is fine 90% of the time. Then just change it to 9600 in your serial setup in SAT.

Yeah, using a USB to serial adapter at 9600 baud. The Verify actually runs and shows all the errors for what's non-default in the system. I didn't know about 1-8-35 but will check that when I go back.

Do I need to worry about 7-1? When I scrolled through that from a phone (x101), it showed everything as NON.

I read through the docs for 1-13-xx, 3-14, 3-91, 3-03, 3-04, and 1-1-20 through 1-1-22. All the defaults should be okay - it sounds like it'll just use the PRI channels very similiar to existing CO lines. Ignoring the DIDs that upstream is sending is fine with me.

We connected the PRI to the card, but nothing lights up besides the basic "live" light.... assuming that the channel types, B/D channels, etc are all good, would this be a MB issue or most likely wiring issue? We're not sure about the pinouts yet since Sangoma is so different then Elite IPK.

Once the PRI lights up, should the inbound calls 'just work' or do we need to change any other dialplan?

The other question I had is how do we tell the IPK to use the old CO vs new PRI for outgoing... is there a MB for that?

Thanks again... hopefully this will end up being much simpler then I was dreading.

Check your hardware manual to set the dip switch for the PRI protocal, it must match the Telco.

You will have to assign the DID digits recieved from Telco in Memory Block 1-1-22 to get in bound to work.

Put all the PRI trunks in trunk group 2 & the CO Lines in trunk group 1 to dial out over the CO lines.

Hi, Where can you get a copy of the NEC Elite IPK SAT software? I just inherited a site that has one of the Elite IPK systems and would like to get into it to reset some things.
CD not left behind by installers 3 or 4 years ago, or the then tech just kept it.

Thanks
