I have a client that had a NEC DSX 80 installed in December of 2007. Seems that when they are on the speakerphone on a CO line (all 13 phones) the speakerphone is choppy, choppy to the point they can't use it. If an internal call is made via the intercom and voice announce all is fine.
I though I remembered reading that this was a software bug, is this true?
Thanks Walter

What software version ?
You need to be on site and test yourself. If it is choppy, trying hitting the Mute key. The phones could be clipping.
You may try adjustment of loop length. Look at Lines/Config settings (program 3102) Adjust loop length (I would try AUTOMATIC first ) Depends on your Version. You may also look at Transmit/Receive gain same program.
I only had (1) issue with this problem and found background noise in office was the source of problem, causing the VOX circuit to chop audio.

No sticky notes I had the customer go on speakerphone while I was in the phone with him and there appeared to be no background noise, will be on site tomorrow.

His settings may vary. You have to go on site and adjust to the co line you are working with.
That may not be your answer.
