When checking one specific voice mail user either directly from there station or through a another extension utilizing a function button (assigning it to (Voice Mail(in-skin VM)and the mailbox #), hit 5 to listen or hit "listn" on the display, the phones dials some random number. Someone always answers and its definitely not a person inside our office. I reset the phone system, and we are still having this issue. Can anyone point me in the right direction here? Sounds like a routing issue or something.
BTW....First post here, and just wanted to say that I found lots of answers off of many of these posts. Keep up the great work.

Go to the station in error. Push the voicemail key, "do not push 5 ". Go to mailbox options check if notification is on or off.You will fine the missing link by looking at different options in that mailbox, just follow the prompts. Rebuild the mailbox if you have to.

When I go into the mailbox options it says all group notifications are off. Should this be on? How do I know which group should be enabled? How come only this mailbox stopped functioning within the last week or so?
How do you rebuild the mailbox? Does this delete any messages that are currently in the mailbox?
Sorry about all of the questions, I am only familiar with a small amount of admin functions. Thanks for the quick response.

I would bet it's a different number under that key. Dial *8 from the keypad and see if you get that extensions mailbox.

The problem isn't that I can't get into the voicemail, just once I'm in there, it will not let me hear the 10 unheard messages. Once I hit listen, it dials out to some number.

Read what Coral Tech posted above and do it. Then report back. I think you may be getting confused about the voicemail in general.

I did follow Coral Techs suggestion. I went over to that extension, and dialed *8 from the handset. I got into the voicemail, just as I can by hitting the voicemail button on the display. Getting to the voicemail for the problem extension is not the issue.

Hmm, are you sure it's dialing to some number or are you hearing DTMF actually being played? have you just tried to press 3 (E) to erase it?

And I always thought the 3 (D) was to delete it, or is it (F) to forget it.
