I have a church with a DS2000 and a built in Intramail VM that needs to create menus for callers in multiple languages. I need to create a menu tree so that callers can have various options in their specific languages.

Example: thank you for calling so and so, for English press 1, Italian press 2, Spanish press 3

SUB MENU: for a directory press 1, mass schedule press 2

NEXT SUB MENU: for Saturday mass schedule press 1 for Sunday mass schedule press 2 etc....

I would need to make a main menu with various sub menus in different languages. is this even possible with the Intramail? Can I attach a Panasonic tvs vm to the ds2000 instead since it is what they have at their second church and I know it can create the menus I need? I have used various makers systems that where capable of this feature and I find it hard to believe that NEC wouldn't be capable of this. Maybe I am just overlooking something.

It'll all be dictated on how many call routing mailboxes you need and dial action tables. I think it's 16 call routing and I'm not sure on the DAT's probably the same.

You can program these sub menus, but you are sort of limited to 16 boxes...

example...
(8006)
box 000 (MB0) = MAIN Greeting

Option BOX (MB 1-4)
1--------001 = Spanish
2--------002 = Hours & Location
4--------003 = Dial By Name Directory
5---------004 = Social Functions

Box 001 (MB1) = Spanish

Option Box
1--------5 = Hours & Location
2--------6 = Social Functions
3--------7 = Directory
(Just record the extensions list in Spanish

Boxes 1,2,4,5,6 & 7 would be set as announcement Boxes 0 & 1 would be Call routing boxes
Box 3 would be set as a directory box

You will also have to setup a dial action table for boxes 0 & 1
Dial options are set under the dial action table (8008, AKA Action)

All of these options are under
Programming: Voice Mail

When you do your recording, you are going to DIAL box 000, or 001 and so fourth... in programing the boxes are 0,1,2 and so on..

I hope this help... Try and keep these dial options down to a minimum from experience the more options the more you are going to tick off the caller...
