I am looking if it is possible to
1 - have a different ring tone for a extention. basically if someone calls a main number and then presses the extention, the ring tone at that particular is different from the other extentions.

Switch ring tones using 'feature 3 feature'. If enabled, that code will change the ring tone at an extension. Hope this helps.

i don't see that option. Have the 2 line display phones dx7na-12txh i believe and ver 3.22.00 software loaded. is there any way to setup distinctive ringtone for a extention. i looked at a manual but it is more for a 3 line display phone.

Ring tone config has to be enabled in class of service. If it is the user presses the PGM soft key, press more until you see key ring

Thanks for the response.
When I press PGM, Ring, i get option Key & exit. no option to assign a ringtone.
