I have a dsx 80 that i am trying to do company speedials and personal speed dials. The manual says to dial #77 and sp bin number 201 etc for company sd. It says to dial #77 701 to 720 for personal sd. If i dial #77, the display says 71. personal speed dial. What am i missing here. even if i dial 201 , 202 etc it says 01 for personal speed dial. Thanks

To dial a stored personal speed dial number(710-720) Press INTERCOM Dial # then speed bin number.

To dial stored system speed dial number(201-299)
same as above.

This will work unless the bins may be programmed wrong or the bin numbers could have been changed in programming.

This information is all stated in TELEPHONE FEATURE HANDBOOK P/N 1093099. which comes with every system.

To program the speed numbers it is also listed in the manual. I think you are not giving it a line or ling group to dial out on in your programming.

The issue is how to store them. The book that comes wuth the system says to dial #77 to store a system sd and the same thing to store a personal sd. When I dial #77 the display says 71 personal speed dial. I can store a personal sd. How can I store a system speed dial if the instructions are the same. If I try to dial a system code (201,202 etc) I just get 01, or 02, prompting me to enter a personal sd.

I put in the system speedials with the terminal. But the customer wants to be able to put in their own personal sd. The problem is if they try to program the first personal speed dial, when they dial #77 and 701, the first system sd is there.

in the software manual pg 317

Should extension be able to store System Speed Dial numbers?

"If yes, in 2102-04: User Programming Access Level (page 725), enter 4 or 5."

If they have the proper programming level at the phone as Skip noted, then after dialing #77 and seeing, 71:Personal Speed Dial, simply press the NEXT softkey in the display and you will see 72:Company Speed Dial.
