I have a customer with 128MB Card on the VMP. There is 20 transaction boxes with 30 seconds or less on each Greeting. Thats about 10 min. There is about 50 MB and I went through and checked the amount of recorded messages, There is less than 3hrs. When I looked at the specs on the 128MB Card it said there is approximately 10 hours of recording time. The problem is when someone checks thier VM it will tell them the VM system is getting low on memory and they need to delete any messages they can. The VM has been in for 5 years and nothing has changed dramatically. Just added a user here and there. This just started happening in the last 4 months. Any help would be great. Thanks.

It is a U(40) with a FM128(8) Compact Flash. We do not have the DSP installed so it is only using 4 Ports.

Try looking at the Public message box or the system managers box. I've seen a lot of VM systems with hundreds of messages in those boxes.

I looked through the VM and didn't see anything for Public Message Box or the System Managers Box. Are they labled something different? One thing I did see in Easy Made Applications on Page 6 it tells you how many new messages there are. It said there was 110= 8:25. Does this mean 8hrs and 25 min or 8 min 25 seconds?

When on the Easy Made Page 6, hit F7 and it will delete all of those messages. They are typically faxes or hangups. Be prepared to wait a while, 15 minutes or more.

Also, it can help to defragment the drive. There should be a utility on the voicemail to do so.

I believe that you can also set the Fax box and System Manager's box not to take messages -- make them GOTO --> $GREET or else SAY-BYE.
