We have a NEC SV8300. One of our virtual extensions is set up just like all the others in CM13 and CME6. The problem is that when the extension is called from outside the cell phone number entered in CME601, CME602 and CME603 is never called. Another cell phone is called instead. I have verified that the correct cell phone is not doing the forwarding and if the call is done extension to extension the call goes through correctly. Creating another virtual extension and setting it up with the same forwarding numbers works correctly also. Deleting and re-adding the malfunctioning extension doesn't work either. It appears to be related to that extension only. All others work correctly. Where else should I look?

I believe that E600 (CFA) takes precedence over E601,02,03 (CFB, CFNA, CFBNA). Also, if this virtual is hypothetically an IP phone, try E606.

When you say, "Called from outside," is this virtual a DID? If so, verify 7600/7601 data.

Also, is there a numerical relationship between the cell phone called and the target cell phone? For example, my home phone regularly gets faxes from a pharmacy trying to reach its supply house, because they have a fax speed dial with an extra 4 in the dial string.

If a speed dial is used, make sure that the speed dial string is entered properly.

I have tried putting the correct cell phone number in E600 also without success. What does E606 do (I'm not familiar with it)? The other extensions forwarded to cell phones work correctly and this one did previously. No relationship between the 2 cell phones at all (different digits including area code). Even if I put another extension number in E601-03 the same incorrect behavior happens. The speed dial string is entered properly and has been retyped several times.

Finally got it fixed. Had to delete the line from the UCB and have it add back before setting up forwarding again. It works now. Thanks for the help.

Ah..good. FYI when using a UCB you need to mention that as it takes over quite a bit on the system.
