A new customer called and wanted us to work on their DS2000. The default installer password does not work, nor does the Admin1 or Admin2 passwords. Does anyone know a solution other than defaulting the system?

The good thing in this case is that if you default the ds2000, the recordings will not be deleted, at least that's how it is on the DSX.

That's true, wonder if NEC TS has a backdoor into the ds/dsx systems.

They do have a backdoor, and I know they will charge to execute that request. Just pull the coin cell battery, power off and start over programming. Make sure you go ahead and replace the battery too for good measure... while your at it update the S/W to last and probably the final version (3.22.12)..... These switches are so easy my daughter could set them up when she was 7 years old. piece of cake buddy!! Need help just ask..

What would be the problem?????

Once you gain entry to sys program you create a new MB with sys admin privlage and there you go!!!! Then u can delete the P/W of any MB..

Although you used a lot of question marks and exclamations, this actually is true, none of us thought about that. Good point.
