I have an sv8300 with dual CPU and Unit 2 connected together at the same office. The system was working perfectly for at least 3 months a just last week we have notice unit 2 goes to survival mode and never came back on line again. We tried everything to no luck at all. We end up re intialize the whole system and loaded in a back up data. It's has been happening the last 2 weeks. Has anyone experiene this before?NECA advise to upgrade to the software to a later release, working on R4 now.
Thanks
Joe

Hi Second unit cannot go to survival mode as unit 2, unless you configure it as remote unit with proper license. It looks like configuration problem, initialize the system and re-program it manually. It should solve your problems. https://pbxtechsolutions.blogspot.com/

Unit 2 goes to survival mode no problem at all.Remote unit 5-50 which require additional license.Unit 2 is part of Main Unit 1-4 and switch set to 2.I think it something to do with the switch config.
