I have a SV8100 and a Zoom VoIP Telephone Adapter. I have never had a need to set one up before and have spent days trying to configure it. If anyone has any suggestions what programming is need in the phone system please let me know.

Okay, what's the output from the Zoom VoIP adapter?

Is it supplying a single analog POTS line, or is it supplying a PRI?

If it's a PRI, you configure it to a T1 card on the SV8100. If it's giving you a loop-start POTS line, you set it up like any other LS trunk.

If you can dial by connecting an analog phone then the output is POTS, connect this to 4 / 8 COT card in SV8100 and configure it as normal central office line.

OK I think you are trying to connect an IP telephone the looks and acts like a analog station, correct?

The Zoom phone should come with a disc for setup. You will need to set it up with an IP address/Subnet/gateway/extension number/domain info etc....

Once you do that you will need to make sure you have a 3rd party SIP phone licence in the 8100.

The 8100 will also need to have an IPLA card, an ME50 and the associated programming assigned.

You then assign the extension number to an unassigned port in the 8100, take care not to use ports above your max capacity (64/256/728).

If this is what you have, I'm not sure it will even work... let us know.
