Trouble with an ESI..really? Talk about one of the easiest systems to work with. Hell, I don;t even hook up a computer to program that system unless I need a backup.

I also agree with the training on what they have. They want "user-friendly" and easy, even though they don't seem to know their existing system very well, how much more difficult is it gonna be to teach them and entire new system?

I also agree with hawk's suggestion. I have a kind of generic home-made user guide/cheat sheet with the most commonly used features listed. I customize that for each new customer with examples would actually pertain to them. I include names and extension numbers that actually exist on their system. It really does make a difference when it comes to training.

On just about every new install, there is always at least one employee that just "hates" this new system, and the reason why is because its new and now they actually have to assert themselves to learn a few new ways of doing things, and lets face it, this user probably will only use 5% of the actual features of the system.

Anyway, in addition, she said it must be user-friendly for setting up/changing auto attendant greetings and options. Of course, the term "user-friendly" depends largely upon the skills of the end user in most cases.

They currently have an ESI C Class system with just three phones and four lines. Frankly, I can't imagine any system that is easier than ESI, but she says that it is just way to complicated.

Before I pass on this one, I'm wondering if there even is such a system that is this small AND so easy that I won't have to be dealing forever with their interpretation of user friendly.

I'm leaning toward some of the non-KSU "systems" out there because of her comment about "cheap". I'm just no sure if any of them offer auto attendant, voice mail and information mailboxes, AND is so easy that a caveman can use it. Any suggestions?
