Hi Guys. Now that NECUS has had Skype SIP trunking certified has anyone got it to go. I have a NECAM document here that says how to set it up and I have setup a Skype Connect account but see nothing in Wireshark. Anyone tried this yet?? https://www.necunifiedsolutions.com/main/NewsEvents/NewPressPage.asp?release=2011072501.xml

If I setup the Skye Connect account as IP validation and the system the same way I do see Wireshark traces but as Skype Connect wants the to see the E.164 number format I suspect that the 8100 R5.xx software we have here does not support E.164 so only sends in the invite to Skypes test number as 1760 660 4690 where it should I feel it should be +1760 660 4690 as I get a 404 message back. According to Skype's trouble shooting guide a 404 says "The INVITE request uses a domestic and not international number format in the request line"

I would take a look at some of the other SIP setup documents to see if something isn't right. There are setups for CeByond and Broadvox to name a few. I have found the Aspire/UX/SV to be pretty flexible getting SIP to work.

Hi Coral.
The only difference I can see here based on SIP carriers we have connected to in NZ and they are many and varied is the requirement for an E.164 numbering in the invite message.
The SV8500 can do this function but not sure about the 8300

You know have you tried simply ten digits? I thought setup required 10 digit not 11.

Hi Coral.
Makes do difference. Skype says the test number is "+1760 660 4690 to test audio quality and connectivity. It’s Skype’s echo test online number. Calls to this number are free and you don’t need to have Skype Credit on your SIP Profile to call this number."
Also "If you're making outgoing calls to landline and mobile numbers, ensure they are sent to Skype in the full E.164 format for international numbers only (i.e. country code and landline or mobile number)."
I have passed this on to NEC in Australia for them to test as I'm away next week..

Hmm. Well, I already have a sip provider but will look into Skype when my contract is out. Far as I have seen the NEC UX or SV is fully compliant.
