System with Netlinnk, 96 IP phones and VM8000 Was working fine for several years. Get a call this am and only 4 phone were running. "License exceeded" on the rest of the phones. Check feature activation and there are no enhancement licenses nor the expanded port packages for the additional phones. Help please. I do not have the License file for this. it was taken over from another vendor. :bang:

Should be able to activate the "demo" mode to get up and running on a new processor.

Any chance to talk to the people that installed the system? They are going to have all that info in the licensing portal. I would also look at the original sales papers to find out if they paid for software assurance. NEC keeps that stuffed locked down pretty tight. The whole point of having a spare CPU is precisely for this reason.

its been through a couple different vendors. Contacting previous vendor for the file. Deal with paperwork later. Whats weird is that the whole file is gone. All programming is there but that's it.

I have seen licenses just vanish overnite on these systems but not the whole lot at once except with our office system one... NEC should have access to the license server and may be able to help. If it's a R5.00 or later system you can turn on demo licensing for 10 days via PRG 90.37.01 via the telset programming.. Require system reboot after turning on..

Paul W Now back to a 0 day week. Love these 7 day weekends.

The original vendor is the only one that can get the licenses unless tehy were transferred to another dealer. An authorized dealer will have to get involved.
