I am trying to assign a station to a lens. When I do I am getting a numbering plan error. I am thinking that when my phone system was first built that DID is missing. Where do I add that DID or at least run a report to see what DID's are built.

8500 is a whole different animal as you are discovering.
Check your numbering plan setup ASPA
