What sip softphone work on the SV8100? Also are they full function using hold,transfer and calls going to voice mail.

Yes. It's a part of desk Top Suite. Maybe more expensive that the OP wants though. He could try Xlite but they will need an advance SIP license or if R5.00 or later enable the 10 day license to test with..

We've used SP310 in desktop software and the x-lite. Both work well but as mentioned will require different licenses.

Doesn't the 8100 come with 4 IP licenses? or was that a promo that's over now?

For Soft phones The 3CX seems to be really good an it is OK for commercial use. aok
