Got a call to look at a system today. The caller ID is not working. The carrier just did an upgrade and since the upgrade caller ID has not worked. I'm thinking this one should be pretty easy.
So we dispatched someone out there with an analog phone. Sure enough it was working at the block, but the system has not collected any caller ID info since the day of the upgrade.
My questions would be are there any settings that could be associated with the Caller ID? Typically in my experience it is an on/off setting...
I thought for sure we would get out there and it wouldn't be working at the block and that would be the end of it.

One thing you could check. There is a setting to hold back the first ring. That way the system has time to receive the information.

There is also a timer setting that NTAC is aware of to widen the amount of time for the signal to be captured. I have had to do this in the past but it's been so long I cannot for the life of me remember the code.
