I have a cutomer with a 704 I-Series 2.4 software with a PRI.
They have been getting prank calls and would like to be able to block callers who block there caller id (*67).I thought this would be a carrier issue .but the carrier says they can not block callers who dial *67 on a PRI they can only do it on copper lines

Does anyone know if this can be acomplished thru the phone system

Thanks

JD

Have a look at the section in the Feature manual called "Caller ID – Flexible Ringing"

This allows you if your Carrier supports it that allows the system to reject calls where the CLID is marked "Private" and can route then to a VRS message which can have the appropriate message in it..

If you can't find it send me a PM and I'll send you the relevant pages..

It works fine down here on analog trunks but not on ISDN as our carriers don't support the feature..

@teldata1. PM sent.

But I think I got things wrong and thought that this was a SV8100 system which I gather it's not..

Paulw,
I agree it will work on an SV8100 but the i-series came out in the mid nineties and actually was a Nitsuko product. Sounds like a good oportunity for an upgrade.
