Can someone tell me if it is possible to use a loop start trunk port on an SV8300 to access a Bogen PCM TIM page controller?
I have it set up right now to dial 781 which accesses loop start port 10. I do get the beeps from the Bogen and am able to make pages to any zone.

The problem is that I get a constant clicking from the Bogen after I make pages. If I disconnect the RJ-11 from the system the clicking goes away.

I can make pages with my butt-set and it works just fine.

Any ideas? Thanks

Sounds like the Bogen is not seeing disconnect from the SV8300. I'd check the settings on the loop-start.

Did you set 3028 for the trunk & 3508 for the TG?

Just want to verify. If I set the zone for paging in 3028 will it still allow a user to enter a zone on the Bogen? Since I am using zones, would I set it up as a 3-Radio Paging, non delay answer?
I assume that I would then have 3508 set to a 3 correct. Thanks!

Can someone answer this question? My tech support tells me that the SV8300 is not able to interface to a Bogen PCMTIM page controller. He said that the Bogen sends to high of voltage. Is this true? I have never had a problem connecting any system to the Bogen PCMTIM. If I am able can someone tell me the settings in the commands needed to interface the Bogen?

Thanks

Yes, The pages will work, but I get a continous clicking on the PCMTIM. I am curious if I need to change a setting on the Loop Start trunk. I am new to the SV8300 and am not to familiar with it yet.

According to the manual for the Bogen pcmtim the default timer is 30 seconds, that's a long time for a page. I'd guess your average page is somewhere in the 10 second neighborhood. So since it's not releasing set it to disconnect sooner.

It also states that it's polarity sensitive. Also check to make sure you have the dip switches set correctly.

You need to read a command manual. I will not hold your hand. Your 3508 is incorrect.
