I know this isn't business related, but I was wondering if anyone has exp. with video capture cards. I haven't been able to find reviews on them. I'm in the precess of building a PVR (like TIVO or Replay TV)

I had a Nvidia card from Visiontek that was crap. I am using a Dazzle USB video capture device. Seems to work okay, but I haven't done much with it. The ATI cards with video capture seem to be good.
Check out extemetech.com for some more info.

Bullcube I know this topic is a bit old but just got into this stuff and planning a new system for my house(if it ever gets built) As far as which card to use I hear the Hauppauge Win TV PVR-250 is one of the best. Using Snapstream media for the PVR software. Go to https://discuss2.snapstream.com/vb/index.php?s= for some more information. I plan on using my computer to record tv shows and movies and burn them to DVD. I currently use Tivo and wonder sometimes how I did without it and why everybody doesn't have one. They are great but have limitations on what you can do with the recorded movies. Good luck and let me know what you have setup as I am still learning this stuff and need ideas.

Well I finally got a card, the WinTV 2000 from LeadTec. It does a good job of recording shows and scheduling recording is a cinch. I haven't tried Snapstream yet, but I've heard that's the best software for a PVR PC. The Hauppauge was a bit out of my pricerange at this time, I was drooling over the new PVR-350 for a bit tho. I'll probably upgrade to the latest in about a year or so. I'm sure there will be something even better at that point. I plan to convert home movies of my baby girl to DIVX to send out to out of state family. I'll let you know how that goes.
